By the 5 August 2025 decision of the management board, UAB Valstybės Investicinis Kapitalas renewed its EUR 400 million medium-term bond programme. The programme will be directed towards investments in Lithuania’s defence and security industry, and the bonds will be guaranteed by the Republic of Lithuania. In 2025, bonds worth up to EUR 55 million are planned to be issued.
In 2021, UAB Valstybės Investicinis Kapitalas approved a EUR 400 million non-equity debt securities programme, which was awarded an A credit rating from Fitch Ratings. Thus far, all securities issues offered through the Nasdaq Vilnius Stock Exchange have been targeted at professional investors and have carried a high level of security, as they were guaranteed by the state.
“Professional investors operating in Northern Europe have responded favourably to the renewed UAB Valstybės Investicinis Kapitalas securities programme, as it focuses on investments that bolster the security of both Lithuania and the entire region. The state guarantee will also ensure that UAB Valstybės Investicinis Kapitalas’s non-equity debt securities carry the maximum security measures,” remarked UAB Valstybės Investicinis Kapitalas CEO Vaidas Daktariūnas on the renewal of the securities programme.
It should be noted that UAB Valstybės Investicinis Kapitalas has already offered four securities issues and attracted EUR 100 million in investment capital from investors. The renewal of the securities programme is a key step that will contribute to the financing of major defence projects in Lithuania.
