VIK Reports Interim Financial Result of €7.12 Million Profit for the First Half of 2026

UAB „Valstybės investicinis kapitalas“ (VIK) generated an unaudited profit of €7.12 million in the first half of 2026.

The main factor behind the company’s profitability was the increase in the value of its long-term financial assets during the reporting period. Effective management of financial assets enables the company to sustainably grow its equity and prepare for new investments in Lithuania’s defence industry sector.

The Ministry of Finance, through its participation in VIK’s governance, has granted the company a borrowing limit of €153 million for this year. Attracting private investors, promoting the capital market, and financing existing and new defence projects in Lithuania remain among the company’s key priorities.

VIK holds a 49% stake in the share capital of EPSO-G Invest. Together with the German defence industry company Rheinmetall, EPSO-G Invest is implementing an investment project worth €260–300 million aimed at the production of 155 mm artillery shells.

In light of the changing geopolitical and economic environment, increasing attention is being given to the development of the national defence industry and investments that strengthen national security. One of the priorities of the 21st Government is to strengthen the country’s defence capabilities and ensure the effective management of existing investments in the defence sector.

The company is ready to contribute to the development of Lithuania’s defence sector by issuing new securities, investing in strategic national projects, and effectively managing its existing financial investments.
